Jackie Feldman

Jackie Feldman is a professor of anthropology at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Beersheba, Israel. He is currently a visiting scholar at Universite Aix-Marseille. His fields of interest are pilgrimage, tourism, Holocaust memory, and anthropology of religion. He has published two books: A Jewish Guide in the Holy Land: How Christian Pilgrims Made Me Israeli (University of Indiana Press, 2016) and Above the Death-Pits, beneath the Flag: Youth Voyages to Poland and the Performance of Israeli National Identity (Berghahn, 2010. His current research project is "Memorial, Museum, Cellphone: Transmission of Holocaust Memory in a Digital Age."
