Mounia El Kotni

Mounia El Kotni completed her PhD in cultural anthropology at the University at Albany in 2016. She is a Postdoctoral Researcher at CEMS-EHESS Paris and a 2019–2021 Fondation de France Fellow. Her research interests include environmental health, maternal health, reproductive politics, and indigenous peoples’ rights. She has conducted research with traditional indigenous midwives in Mexico and Guatemala. She also provides training on gender discrimination for NGOs and state agencies in France and Mexico.
