Distribute2020: An Invitation to Use, Reuse, Recombine, Cite, Relate, and Teach!

Welcome to the Teaching Tools series inspired by Distribute2020, the biannual multimodal conference presented by the Society for Cultural Anthropology (SCA) and the Society for Visual Anthropology (SVA) in May of 2020. This series interrogates questions of how we, as educators and learners, can critically reflect on what has become a normalized last-minute-pedagogical imperative in our university work and research. We present to you posts inspired by Distribute2020 panels. Panel organizers were asked to pair their panels, all of which are accessible indefinitely through the Distribute2020 website, with readings, activities, and pedagogical tools to be used in the classroom. This series thus interrogates new ways of approaching the teaching of anthropology in expansive and experimental ways, allowing for a reframing of learning and what it means to produce knowledge collectively in these extraordinary times.
