Andaleeb Adwan is the founder and current director of the Community Development and Media Center (CDMC), a service organization advocating for the rights and issues of marginalized people with special emphasis on women and youth through media. Ms. Adwan was one of the core group members who started the Women Affairs Center in Gaza (WAC). She served as their media program manager as well as the editor-in-chief for the WAC magazine established in 1996. Ms. Adwan’s approach is grounded in community service organizations, popular unions and women and youth frameworks. As a short story writer, she is also a member of the Palestinian Writers Union.
