Erin Routon is Assistant Professor of Anthropology in the Comparative Cultural Studies Department at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. Her research focuses on advocacy and care work with im/migrant communities in the U.S., particularly those impacted by incarceration. She is currently completing her first book on her research with legal advocates that provided aid to detained asylum-seeking families in South Texas.
