Girish Daswani

Girish Daswani is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Toronto. His most recent public-facing work has been exploring the ways in which imperialism, colonialism, and Orientalism have impacted (and are still impacting) the University and the field of Anthropology. Apart from writing blogposts, he has completed a book on activist, artistic, and religious responses to political corruption in Ghana, and has made a documentary-film on activism in Ghana with Mutombo da Poet, You can also read him on the blogs Everyday Orientalism, Human Stories, and Africa Proactive.
