Joyce Rivera-González is an Anthropology doctoral candidate at the University of Notre Dame. Her work is concerned with youth, disaster, and precarity, especially in the context of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. In her dissertation, she explores how young Puerto Ricans conceptualize disaster in a continuously uncertain and precarious socio-political landscape.
