Mark Schuller is a professor in the Department of Anthropology and the Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies at Northern Illinois University and affiliate at the Faculté d’Ethnologie, l’Université d’État d’Haïti. His research focuses on NGOs, globalization, disasters and gender in Haiti. He is the author of Killing with Kindness: Haiti, International Aid, and NGOs and Humanitarian Aftershocks in Haiti. His most recent book is Humanity’s Last Stand: Confronting Global Catastrophe.
