Monica Patrice Barra is cultural anthropologist and assistant professor at the University of South Carolina. Her ethnographic research focuses on the social and ecological politics of environmental restoration science and planning. Questions of racial and environmental justice and social repair animate her personal and professional work with coastal communities, natural scientists and engineers, and artists.
