Yannis Zindrilis was born in Yannena of northwestern Greece. He is a graduate of the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens where he also studied topography. He is the official photographer of the national homeless football team of Greece, and his work has been widely published (e.g. in LensCulture, PHROOM) and exhibited (e.g. Benaki Museum during Athens Photo Festival, Isternia and the Athens Anti-Racist festival).
