Ashish Premkumar, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, as well as a doctoral candidate in Cultural Anthropology at The Graduate School at Northwestern University. His research interests include the social construction of medical evidence, particularly through randomized controlled trials, the intersection of family planning and maternal-fetal medicine, and maternal-fetal surgery.
