Graziele Dainese is Professor of Anthropology at the Fluminense Federal University, Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Her principal research interests are in politics, gender, family, and kinship in peasant communities. She is a member of the Anthropology of Politics Research Group (NuAP, Núcleo de Antropologia da Política) at the Museum Nacional, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
