Growing up with a love for books, Monica Saucedo took interest in Linguistics. She is a first generation student currently finishing up her bachelors in linguistics with a minor in education at the University of California, Riverside. She hopes to go to graduate school and obtain a Masters degree in Speech-language Pathology. Her interest in speech pathology was greatly shaped by her personal experiences in elementary school as a chicana whose first language was Spanish in an English taught school environment.
