Professor at the Department of Anthropology at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). He is also a researcher at the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (Cebrap). His specialty is Anthropology of Religion and Urban Anthropology, with special focus on the themes of Pentecostalism, politics, and poverty.
