Kerry Chance is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Bergen, Norway. She is a Research Associate at the Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and a Non-Resident Fellow at the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research at Harvard University. Her book, which is titled Living Politics in South Africa’s Urban Shacklands, was published by the University of Chicago Press in 2018. Research for "Governing through Eco-Anxiety" has been supported by the Wenner Gren Foundation.
