Marc Brightman is Professor of Anthropology at the Department of Cultural Heritage, University of Bologna. He has research interests in sustainability, climate change, and financialization, and has carried out fieldwork in lowland South America and the Mediterranean. He is the author of The Imbalance of Power: Leadership, Masculinity and Wealth in Amazonia; Migrant Hospitalities in the Mediterranean (with Vanessa Grotti); and The Anthropology of Sustainability (with Jerome Lewis).
