Salvador Schavelzon received his PhD in anthropology from the National Museum, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is a professor at the Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP); he also teaches cultural studies at the University of Sao Paulo (USP). Dr. Schavelzon was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Davis. His research focuses on Latin American politics, indigenous cosmopolitics, and constituent processes.
