Ximena Málaga Sabogal (New York University) is a Peruvian anthropologist and historian. She has conducted ethnographic and archival research in Puno, Ayacucho, and Cusco (Peruvian Andes). Her current research projects include “Reparing citizenships,” an inquiry into the policies and politics of economic compensations in post war Ayacucho, and “Andean Waves: Radio, Politics, and Identity Categories in the Peruvian Altiplano” (PhD in anthropology dissertation project). She is working on the book, Reparando ciudadanías: estrategias y sentidos de reconocimiento en Ayacucho post CVR, along with María Eugenia Ulfe.
